Error Blocked From Use Because It Is Not From An Identified Developer |MAC OS Monterey | M1 Chip
In this article we will show you how to fix “Blocked From Use Because It Is Not From An Identified Developer” error. If you attempt to open an app on your Mac OS Monterey and the system shows the notification “macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware”, it means that the Apple Store hasn’t authorised the application and it might not be safe to use. However, some legitimate apps can also have issues with Apple’s authorisation.
Step 1:
1. From the System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy and tap the General tab.
3. You should see an “Open Anyway” button for the unverified app. This option only stays for about an hour after you try to open the blocked app.
If you try to click on Open Anyway still it will not help you as shown in the following screenshot
Still you can see in the above screenshot there is not option to open or run the app to do that follow next step
Step 2:
To run the app open the terminal and write the following command
sudo spctl --master-disable
Step 3:
Close the System Preferences and open again you will see the another option “Anywhere” as shown in the following screenshot
Step 4
Now, If you try to click on Open Anyway you will be able to launch the app as shown below
